Alright, so what if it's been almost a full year since I posted some new crap on here. By the way, can someone resolve this grammatical debate I'm having with myself: since when is "its" the correct usage over "it's" (possesive noun vs. conjunction of it/is). Seems to me, everything I read lately has "its", not "it's", and now I'm really paranoid that my copywritin' ways are a'failin' me. Send me to English language jail with a red pen mark on my forehead...

So, uhhhh....well. Shize... Fuck. I mean. Fudge. As it turns out, a lot happens in a year. So does very little. Not to throw shockwaves at you, but yes... I am still the megadoof I always am, searching high and low for silliness and smilin' time. Everything is awesome, having a blast, despite the usual so-called career anxieties (ah...fuggit, who needs one of those, anyway? Oh wait...I do).

StinkerBelle the Wonder-Dog agreed to adopt me, after I wandered upon her sitting there trapped in her glass cage of emotion (Anchorman quote) in a shelter in Park City (this was in September---she is THE FRIGGIN' BEST!!!! Love her the MOST, even though my house is now a constant blizzard of dog hair--so worth it, if only to wake up every day to this gigantic beagle-dog [Coon Hound, in fact] staring at me and wagging her tail.)

Anyway you slice it, I've had a funny fuggin' year of traveling and skiing and biking and not nearly enough surfing or making art, but working a hell of a lot (Freeskiing Tour and other events all winter kept me running and writing dry and lifeless press releases and important-person communications stuff like crazy)

OH, and as it turns out, I live in Salt Lake City, Utah now. Which I SWORE I WOULD NEVER DO. But, well---that's also what I said about dyeing my own hair (and it's...--its?-- pretty obvious to all that have witnessed my hair history how tragically I have failed over and over with that resolution, so whatevah. Resolutions suck.)

Well hi there--it's been forever since I posted anything on here, mainly because I was busy working all the damn time. Luckily, I've gotten rid of that problem (yip, that's right: Rossignol announced the elimination of my job position out of the blue--turns out, they have been forgetting to make any money for a while)...so, what else am I going to do, other than road trip to MOAB. Yippeeee! This is up at Delicate Arch the other day--I ran up the trail, and about yacked the whole way. Lovely!

Anyway, I'm pretty short and all...but this arch really is a Big'n.

More Moab pics soon, now that I'm back in action again. Seeeyooolator, Me. PS: WILL WORK FOR BEER. Tee hee.

Some hot Pucci action on Christmas Day, up at Deer Valley. I looked pretty good (to who?) until I crossed my tips in a bump field (under the chair...with Stein Eriksen watching) and pretty much splattered myself across the mountain side. Such a KOOK!

Welp, I guess I live in Utah now. My life is weird, and just keeps getting weirder. Anyway, here are some pics from Labor Day, and an epic ride from above Deer Valley down the Big Cottonwood Canyon to Sandy. Real purdy....look at those mountains and aspen trees! Yipeeeee! 3 miles of puking, grinding climbing (ouch, sea level did me no favors there), but 14 miles of downhill super-fun. STOKED!!!

Hey all ya Stinky Stinkers,

Here are some pics from Lost Lake on Sunday. Without any premeditation, somehow, we (everyone in my family that is here in town) all managed to make it up there at the same time to escape the heat wave in Hood River (I'm sure Mom and Dad are laughing at that statement, as they are stewing away in Arizona's chilly 120 degree temps).

As you can see, we had everything from a surfboard, to a kayak, windsurfer, boogie boards, etc etc--basically anything that floated to keep us cooled down.

Mark and Mo both busted out the Bic longboard, Oskar is a crawdad hunting maniac, and Erika is the Grand Champion of Rock-the-Boat (she totally schooled Monique: I’m telling you, the kid is a tank!). Soleil and Micah were also on fire, being kids in a wild-eyed way that only youth can get away with (usually).

Even more classic was when all the kids (including 15 year old Micah, if you can believe it!!) were running around catching newts, which are those weird salamander things---we had a bucket full of those lil' buggers, and ended up having the Newt Racing World Championships to (eventually) set them free…that is, until Micah kept circling back around and catching them all by the fist-full again...she didn’t care that we were trying to set these poor things free, the hunt was way too easy…hilarious!!

We capped off the super fun sunny day with a bbq and smoresfest, along with one of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever seen over Mt Hood, and of course, a sweet disco dance-a-thon up on the street above the lake.

Such a rare event, to have it all line up for no particular reason other than just being together and living large in the company of the people I love the most. It was a super-fun family day of goofing around at the lake, it was really really good to have everyone together --well, almost everyone: Mom, Dad, Pierre... we missed all of you guys so much, wish you could have been there!! I will work on editing you into a few photos, it'll be almost like you were there...

Disco Night, and the Feelins' Right (oh what a night)

Alrighty, so the pictures pretty much speak for themselves: Saturday night was Erin Campbell's tenth anniversary party (for her boutique Frolik, here in Hood River). She had a fashion show/disco party down at the Gorge Club, which pretty much meant that Mark and Monique had a good excuse to break out their vast collection of polyester, and I finally got to wear my Tijuana sparkly boots with gusto.

I had to make an emergency 10 pm false-eyelash run to Wal Mart in the glitter tube top/boots, giving the Mexican family on aisle 4 a little somethin' to think about--YIKES!

Monique's yellow plaid combo is her mother-in-law's "Spring Outfit, circa 1971-74"...I think seeing his wife in it may put Mark in therapy for a long, long time. That, and the fact that he pulls the Burt Reynolds look off a little TOO well...

Kirk and Sherie Zack escorted us down there (and back, at 1:30am) in their convertible VW Bug...blasting the 70's hits all the way down Oak Street along the way. The neighbors were scared...or maybe just jealous (and to think, they couldn't even spot Mark's impressive camel-toe from that angle). Scroll down to see all pics...ahhhhhhhh yeah!

Today is Bill Cosby's birthday. As it turns out, it's also Monique's. She's 18. Yeah, right. Okay, so she's not 18, but is still as dead-sexy as ever. This is last year, up Post Canyon (on the exact spot where her hubby Mark proposed). ahhhhhh, that's nice. Happy Birthday, Mogeek, I love you sis!! (but more importantly, Happy Birthday, Dr. Huxtable, the Jello Puddin' Pop Guy!)
